Despite its questionable name, Shanghai Win is actually cool and classy, offering yet another clubbing choice in the New Factories. Having shed off the futuristic look of its predecessor J’s, this Japanese-run club emerges as dark, modern and glamorous. Stone is everywhere at Shanghai Win, plus shiny chandeliers and dazzling LED walls.
While the dance floor downstairs is pumping, the second floor is more relaxed and intimate. This is where you can drink and chat, and the owner is aiming for the business crowd in this specific area. Guests won’t feel isolated here – you can overlook the whole dance floor through the huge glass windows.
Two Japanese DJs are brought in from Osaka, who drop a combination of hip hop, R&B, house, electro and rock every night. While its layout and crowd remind one of its popular neighbor Muse, Shanghai Win actually does stand a chance to win in Shanghai’s competitive nightlife market.
